Jordan Ross is a MASc Candidate at Carleton University in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Along with his supervisor Prof. Alex Ellery, Jordan is researching robotic active vision and manipulator control using biomimetic approaches.

More specifically, Jordan is investigating methods for autonomously tracking targets in the visual field using biologically inspired Vistibulo Ocular Reflexes (VOR). The goal for active vision is to allow a rover to look, track and investigate interesting targets during its mission traverse phase to allow for more scientifically profitable rover missions.

Jordan also holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Dalhousie University and is a member of the Space Exploration Engineering Group (SEEG) at Carleton University.
